NEW YEAR SURPRISES

When compared to the Dec's 31st before that of 2008,I had a very different new year.
First of all,I had a communication gap with one of my friends and I ended up stranded at a bus stop for an half hour, waiting for her. Then I had an unforgettable experience of facing bright headlights dead on in the middle of a 4 lane road which I crossed with another friend who sees it as a thrilling experience(It thrills me that I made it out alive!!)..Then I ended up having cold chaat and chiku juice for dinner..I got home only to realise that if a theif stole my purse ,he/she(no discrimination here!) would curse for having only Rs 150 on new year's eve(even he/she would have had a crappy new year)..

We wanted to have pastry for welcoming the new year but seeing that the bakery which used to sell pastries suddenly upgraded to a minimum of 1/2 Kg cakes (which we couldn't afford..even my roomie followed my example at keeeping her wallet light) we decided that "CADBURYS" was our new best friend and ended up buying a BIG chocolate which we decided was enough... keeping in view also that we were following our new year resolution from the very first second of the new year i.e., of trying to keep the calories low and anyday chocolates are very much economical than cakes in that aspect..:)..

We were getting ready to usher in the new year while watching a light comedy movie on the laptop and our very BIG chocolate..when things started going haywire..I started suffering from a mild case of tonsilitis(thats my own diagnosis...any doctor may well decide to disagree..!) and a severe case of drowsiness...I ended up sleeping fitfully till the clock struck 12 and my roomie in her excitement of welcoming the new year ended up shaking me till I woke up with a start...And the first thing I realised was that my body wasnt cooperating with my roomie and my body told me to go back to sleep and I obeyed faithfully. In the fight between mind and body mind always wins..and so it did ...my roomie's mind won and she shook me even harder that I had to get up and wish her in a croaky voice "HAPPY NEW YEAR"...

I also realised that my environs weren't that quiet..and I realised poeple were just howling away to glory..I had to see that..so I got out to the balcony..looked onto the street and I saw poeple genuinely enjoying themselves..which made me miss my friends..but then I had my roomies ...I remembered..I also had an unopened chocolate bar..and I was happy again..I had a piece of chocolate..and hoped to have more later and I tried to fall asleep ..but now I couldn't..I remembered that I had to send new year greetings /sms..to many people and I set about doing that diligently and after I was satisfied that i dint miss out on any one...I started to doze off...ofcourse since its new year...its a sin to sleep at 12:15 ..so people stopped me from doing this sin by calling me to wish happy new year...awfully nice of them excpet for the fact that i would have liked it if i could sleep..:(

Anyways..the next day I did a opening ceremony for a shirt which I had bought almost a year ago...because I thought I will be going out...but alas laziness crept in and I stayed in for the whole day..watching TV..:)
That was my New Year..I liked it...even though I missed my friends .
I felt it could have been worse...:D

Pity you for pitying the thief! Who can find paper in wallets these days..? Its plastic plastic everywhere... Had it been mine, he/she(no discrimination as us said) would have found huge reserves of metal.
