I had to visit a sub registrar office yesterday and I saw hell. I needed to get a power of attorney registered ….and I didn’t know the first thing about how to go about it inspite of my dad giving me instructions. Govt. offices give me the chills sine everyone seems not to be bothered about giving you the right information. On top of it…there was no enquiry counter….the one thing I always rely on....in these places…So I ended up at the tehsildar’s office without knowing what I was doing there.. He seemed like a kind enough fellow and I trusted given his position of authority which seemed important…he would direct me….but he was as unaffected as anyone else…and told me as a matter of fact...the next place where I was to go…but gave away no clue about how I was to go about my work…
Ultimately I found out how my damned work was to be done and I am sure it would take another week for it to finish…I don’t know whether I can handle govt. offices for another day….but duty calls…
